Hello, friend!

Welcome to my blog. I have posted some photos of my life to share with you. It's a simple little life, but I'm a simple little girl. Please enjoy, and feel free to leave comments
if you'd like.

Yours,

Some things I saw in town one day a couple of weeks ago...

A cool building downtown.

This church is just down the street from home. The little market in the foreground was featured in the Washington Post recently. It's nice but the people who run it are SOOOO very slow. Plus they have been robbed at gunpoint a bunch of times...

Look at the birdies perched WAY up there!

There was some kind of navy show going on at the Navy Memorial.
Navy chick in a hurry.
Super-creepy fake Navy SEAL guy that scared me.

Vintage boat.

This is just goofy!
Madam's Organ in Adams-Morgan (This is mainly for Louise's benefit!)

Got a new cashmere sweater...it's actually a sock. Makes me look like a little sausage, it's so snug. But my, my, so very comfy!

Can't you just tell how much I heart being held? Looks like I'm waiting to be gobbled up by a hawk..."Please, just make it fast! Me no likey the pain."

I hope you enjoy the turtleneck. I know I certainly do.

Also, notice the studded argyle pattern on my fancy sweater. (Not as wonderful as Angela's, though, which was made especially for me...and not for an adult human FOOT.)

Some animals I like

I have two of these! Yay, more bunnies living here!! Thanks, Darlene!

A D.C. squirrel enjoying a treat. (Look closely, he kinda blends in with the leaves.)

My landlords' very shy kitty sneaking his food out back while my mom was taking care of him. He puts his paw in the bowl, knocks out one piece of food to the ground, eats it, then repeats. So cute! He ran away as soon as he noticed me peeking through the window at him. I heart him.

More to come!!!

Exciting news!!!

Yesterday my photo was posted on THE website of cuteness, cuteoverload.com. I mean, to be included in the pantheon of great cuteness alongside Paige the spaniel and the gossiping kitties! It's too much!!

I'd like to thank the Academy, all of my family and friends, and especially Jesus for making this dream come true!

Hi, it's me again.

Hard at work on the blog. Oh my god, can you believe the humiliation? I'm being forced to wear a SOCK!!! (And a used sock, at that!)

I have to say, though, that the colors are fabulous. And the glitter has a Donna Summer kind of feel to it. Plus the turtle neck is quite becoming, don't you think?

Went for a walk the other day! Just out on the front step, but it was lovely.

I sure did enjoy having my handmade sweater cuz it was a cool morning!

You talkin to me?

I said, are you talkin to ME??? Huh?

No, I didn't think so. Good. Now scram!

Meet my new friend, Helen!!

Last night Helen and I were formally introduced. Isn't she pretty?! She's part Shar Pei, part Rhodesian Ridgeback. Very pretty girl!

Her dad and my mom were WAY too nervous about this meeting! They were SWEATING bullets, both of them!! And man, did they have a grip on her leash!! Helen was very sweet, and oh so excited to meet me. She was TREMBLING with excitement. I, of course, was a bit more reserved (snotty girl that I am. Well, that, and I don't want to get eaten!). My curiosity got the better of me, though, and I couldn't help but come out to meet her a few times. In all we spent almost two hours together (a lot of it with me running into my room and Helen crying for me to come out and play). We all think it was a big success. Helen is a lovely girl, as you can see by her picture. She's big, though! 66 lbs, which makes her roughly 33 times my size!! Wow, no wonder the grownups were nervous.

Here's how it went:

First Contact

Peeking around the corner at Ms. Helen

Inching forward...
can't resist...
what IS that
big creature out there???

I'm coming out!

Come closer!!! I want to see you!

That's more like it!

A little closer...
Closer......................

No, don't leave!

It was just getting fun!

Helen got sad when I left the room.

So eventually I came back out. Helen couldn't take her eyes off me. I retreated to the safety of my penthouse.

Helen got kind of excited and wanted me to play.
I was having none of it.
Just gonna stay over here with my toy bunny.

I couldn't stay away for long, though. She was so interesting!

So very, very interesting...

And she made the carpet smell interesting, too!

Eventually we decided our introduction had been very successful, but that we should not overdo it. We'll do it again soon! I might even get closer....
